During the past 24 hours, solar activity was moderate. Fourteen sunspot regions were on the visible disk with two M-class flares and several C-class flares produced. Due to the effects of the CME, the solar wind speed increased to about 500 km/s. The geomagnetic field reached major storm levels for 3 hours, minor storm levels for 6 hours and active levels for 9 hours.

Within the next three days, solar activity is expected to be moderate with chances for M-class flares. The geomagnetic field is expected to reach isolated active levels on 20-22 Apr due to the effects of the recurrent coronal hole high speed streams and the multiple CMEs.

During the last week, solar activity was at high levels on 15 Apr, moderate levels on 13-14, 16-18 Apr, and low levels for 12 Apr. Seventeen sunspot regions (AR3628, AR3633-AR3648) were on the visible disk with thirteen M-class flare produced. No solar proton event occurred. The F10.7 index increased from 152 sfu to 227 sfu. Due to the effects of the CME from 12 Apr, the geomagnetic field reached minor storm levels for 6 hours and active levels for 12 hours on 16 Apr. It was quiet to unsettled for the rest of time.

Within the next week, solar activity is expected to be mainly moderate with chances for M-class and above flares. The geomagnetic field is expected to reach isolated active or minor storm levels on 19 Apr due to the effects of the CMEs on 14-15 Apr. The geomagnetic field is expected to reach isolated active levels on 20-21 Apr due to the effects of the recurrent coronal hole high speed stream. It will be mainly quiet to unsettled for the rest of time.

		The magnetic map of the activity area is generated based on the full day longitudinal magnetic field data of the Huairou Solar Observatory in Beijing.				This full-disk Hα image of sun is observed with the 20cm Full-Disc Hα Telescope located at Huairou Solar Observatory Station of Beijing in China.



		Observatories of cosmic ray in SEPC include Beijing station monitoring Neutron intensity variations and Guangzhou station monitoring the intensity variations of East, West, South, North and Vertical components of muon.				This model is an improved geomagnetic K-index current reporting model based on the evaluation of Takahashi, a commonly used international Kp index current reporting model, and its application to Chinese geomagnetic stations.
